The Era of Electronica

Electronica Music

What generation do you belong? Are you among the old generation? Or do you belong to the new generation? If you belong to the new generation, you are familiar with electronica music for sure. But what is Electronic music?

Electronica is a wide range type classification of a music genre. It encompasses contemporary electronic music designed for a wind range use. This includes “small” form of dancing that carries danceable stuff. Forms of genres such as house, edm, jazz, trance, acid, tri-hop, idm, jungle, drum and other sub genres are obscured genres that are stuffed into electronica.  This is known before as “techno”, which you can commonly hear in disco houses or bars.

The first wave of electronic music was incidentally called techno and was driven into the ground beyond all sense of meaning. This is the newer generation of 70s disco hits but this has been traced in the 1900s. During that time however, it was not yet known as electronica.

Who and where this started is not known, many DJs and artists in the US, Germany, France and the UK before have been a help in the evolution  of this music since the late 60s and 70s when it attracted many listeners.

Instruments Used

This genre uses electronic instrument. Examples of these are synthesizers and software program which create idiosyncratic sound. What these electronic instruments do is that they replicate an acoustic sound by employing what are called samples.

Basically, music sampling is when a sound engineer records a brief sample or snapshot of an acoustic instrument and then plays it back and manipulates the sound to account for all subsequent pitches. Techno music, which falls under the larger genre of electronic music or electronica, is known for its repetitious drum rhythms and general instrumental nature.
